Apple for the teacher

Hi everyone, been so busy lately ive not managed to update the blog so here goes,

I made Poppie's teachers a very unique leaving gift, Poppie is going into the Juniors in September :( my baby !!!

I made up a 5inch butter sponge mix and cooked in small pudding tins, once cooled I carved into my apple shapes and covered with white fondant,

I made my stalks and leaves out of coloured flower paste and left to dry,

I then sprayed the apples green with a hint of rosey red with my airbrush :) i'm loving my airbrush, I was so pleased with the colour, proper granny smiths I think with a hint of red, I think fixed on my leaves and stalk with a little royal icing, and hey presto a very unique gift that all the teachers loved!

Yes there are fairies at the bottom of my garden!

Each fairy is handmade out of fondant and flower paste, 

the grass is piped buttercream,

the pathways, toadstalls and hedgehog are fondant.

Happy Anniversary

Good morning sharing a two tier cake with you today that I made for my Mum and Dads 50th Anniversary

My mum loves owls so hence the design

Two tier butter sponge cake, filled with buttercream and berry jam

decorated with ivory fondant, coloured by myself, I prefer Bako fondant

All decorations are made from coloured flower paste,

Mum and Dad loved there cake and had a fantastic day

Daisy is 6

Hi everyone this cake was made on saturday for a little girl called Daisy and she was 6

I've heard that everyone loved the cake and the little girl is going to keep Lavender who sits on top of the cake, in her bedroom to remind her what a great Birthday she had.

An 8 inch butter sponge cake, filled with Strawberry Jam and Buttercream,

Lavender, flower and butterflies are made from fondant and flower paste,

Little Lavender

A really cute girly cake topper to share with you today,

This is an order for Daisy who will be 6 years old

Lavender is going to sit on top of a 8 inch square cake, surrounded by butterflies and flowers.

Lavender is made from fondant and gum paste, everything is edible apart from her arms and legs, but if she is kept properly she will last forever.
